WARRANTY
Canbat Technologies Inc. warrants every lithium battery for 10 years from the date of sale as determined by the sale receipt. Within the first 36 months of the warranty period, subject to the exclusions listed below, Canbat will replace or repair the lithium battery in the case of the components in question are determined to be defective in material or workmanship. After 36 months and up to 10 years, if the components in question are determined to be defective in material or workmanship, and Canbat deems the components to be repairable, the lithium battery will be repaired and returned. If Canbat deems the components to be not repairable, a new, the same model lithium battery will be offered at a discount of 30% off of the price listed at the time of the offer. The offer will be valid for a period of 30 days after the date of notification.
NON-TRANSFERABLE
This limited warranty only applied to the original purchaser of the lithium battery. The warranty cannot be transferred to any other person or entity. Please contact the original place of purchase regarding any warranty claim.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Canbat has no obligation under this limited warranty for lithium batteries subjected to the following conditions (including but not limited to):
- Damage caused during shipping or mishandling of the lithium battery
- Damage due to improper installation; loose terminal connections, under-sized cabling, incorrect series (some batteries cannot be in series) or parallel connections, reverse polarity connections or insufficient space for airflow
- Environmental damage such as inappropriate storage conditions as defined by Canbat, exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures, fire or freezing, or water damage, impact or collision
- Damage due to improper operation or maintenance such as under- or over-charging the lithium battery, cold temperature charging, lack of cleaning resulting in corroded terminal connections or build-up of dirt, debris, organic matter, fossil fuels or chemicals on the battery casing
- Improper use of CAN cables such as improper connections or not connecting them
- Installing CAN communication devices that do not follow the appropriate CANbus guidelines
- Battery that has been opened, modified or tampered with
- Tampering or removal of manufacture date codes
- Lithium battery that was used for applications other than which it was designed and intended for by Canbat
- Lithium Battery that was under-sized for the application
This limited warranty does not cover a battery that has reached its normal end of life due to usage which may occur prior to the warranty period. A battery can deliver only a fixed amount of cycles over its life which will occur over different periods of time depending on the application. Canbat reserves the right to deny a warranty claim if the battery is determined, upon inspection, to be at its normal end of life even if within the Warranty Period. If it is deemed that the battery was used improperly, you will be subject to a repair charge plus parts and shipping.
SUBMITTING A WARRANTY CLAIM
To submit a warranty claim, please contact the original place of purchase. The Product may be required to be shipped back to Canbat for further inspection. The Product must be shipped in compliance with UN38.3. Persons shipping batteries to be Hazmat certified.
